Updated: As of 12 Noon, Over 6 Million People Voted

PHNOM PENH: Head of the NEC Information Team, Dim Sovannarom, confirmed to EAC News that as of 11:46 this morning, 6,226,555 Cambodians, or 64.12%, had cast their ballots at 23,789 polling stations.

It is worth noting that polling stations across the country were opened simultaneously at 7:00 am on Sunday, July 23, 2023 to serve the 7th National Assembly Election.

The National Election Committee (NEC) has stated that voting will end at 3:00 pm on July 23, but if there are still voters in the polling station or standing in line outside the polling station, they must be allowed to vote. After the election, there will be a preliminary vote count.

A total of 9,710,655 people, including 5,161,909 women, are registered to vote at the national polls this Sunday at a total of 23,789 polling stations.
